Who? Any Douglas County resident over the age of 55. What? An hour of stretching, strengthening and relaxation. Where? 8750 Dorris Road (near the court house) When? Adaptive Yoga Class Mondays12:30-1:15pm Senior Yoga Class Mondays & Wednesdays 1:30-2:30pm How much? The cost is $15.00 for four adaptive yoga classes. The cost is $25.00 for eight senior classes per month. What is the difference between senior yoga and adaptive yoga? Senior yoga is a specialized class designed for people over 55. The class included strengthening, stretching, balance poses and relaxation. Adaptive yoga is a designed for people with less mobility such as knee or hip problems. This class is done in a chair with a few standing postures. It is a gentle class and an excellent introduction to yoga.. The adaptive class tailors the yoga poses to the individual's ability.
