Restorative Yoga
Relaxation is the focus
of restorative yoga. Restorative yoga is an extremely gentle and restful
form of yoga. No prior experience of yoga is necessary. In
restorative yoga poses the body is supported by props such
as a wall, folded blankets, rolled blankets, yoga straps or chairs. Each
pose is held for several minutes to encourage deep
relaxation.

Comment from a Workshop
Participant
"It was
fantastic. I'm one of those people who find it difficult to relax and to fall
asleep... like I can never get my brain to shut down. The restorative yoga
allowed me to find comfortable, restful positions in which I could focus on
meditation and let it all go... I definitely needed that! It will be great
to use some of these poses at home to help me fall asleep." ~ Tiffany
