Being Vegetarian in Douglas County, Georgia
Vegan Friendly Restaurants in Douglas County We have no completely vegetarian restaurants in Douglas County! Somebody open one! Atlanta Bread Company 6875 Douglas Bvd Suite A Douglasville 678-715-5481 Some of the soups are vegan. Ask a manager which are vegan because the soups periodically change. Chilitos 639 Thornton Road, Douglasville 770-819-0550 They have fresh salsa and it is excellent - I am addicted to it. The chips are boiled in vegetable oil. I either order two tacos with black beans or a burrito with black beans in a whole wheat wrap. (The brown beans are now vegan and they are delicious too!) The owner is very accommodating to vegetarians, when she took over the restaurant she added more vegetarian options. Their cold hibiscus tea is also very tasty! China Liu's Chinese Restaurant Szechuan, Hunan, and Cantonese Cuisine 2735 Lee Road, Suite B6, Lithia Springs, (in the Publix Shopping Center on the corner of Lee Road and Fairburn Road) 770-577-6618 The vegetable fried rice has no egg! I highly recommend the Buddhist Delight and the Mixed Vegetables with Garlic Sauce. It is always ready in 10 minutes! Call in your order and never have to wait. It is open 7 days a week. Taste-of-Thai Cuisine of Thailand 2911 Chapel Hill Road, Suite 24S, Douglasville 770-577-4142 It is open 7 days a week.

Thomas Deluxe Grill www.rthomasdeluxegrill.com or myspace.com/rthomasdeluxegrill 1812 Peachtree Road, N.W., Atlanta, GA 30309 404-872-2942 Their menu includes something for everyone. There are delicious raw food combination plates, vegan options, vegetarian and free range meat options. It is a quirky place. The Basil tofu Lettuce wraps were OK, but the raw plates and the Thai Express (with tofu instead of tempeh) were excellent. The vegan strawberry cake was also very good.
