Animals Do Yoga Every Day!

Animals naturally stretch throughout the day. Why don't we?

Down dog pose, or adho mukha svanasana, demonstrated by Kellie, a beautiful chocolate lab who lives with the Wansley family.  Kellie loves to do down dog pose after she wakes up from a nap and the Wansleys awakened her from many a nap to get this great picture!

Heron pose, or krounchasana demonstrated by a gorilla at the Atlanta Zoo. Notice that the gorilla stretched each leg to balance both halves of the body.

Iguanid practicing cobra pose, or bujangasana, in the sun.

Down dog pose, or adho mukha svanasana, demonstrated by Hooch who lives with the Washington family.

Stretching its wings at a Florida beach, this bird resembles star in the moon series, although human knees and elbows bend in the opposite direction!
